It all begins with an idea. Kami’s parents owned a dilapidated building in downtown Merkel, TX, just outside of Abilene. When Kami got engaged, they dreamed of creating the perfect space for her celebration—The Lovely. 

I remember the first time I walked the space with Kami + her mom. It would take a lot of work and vision, but they knew they would create something beautiful in order to host Kami + Riley’s special day.

After multiple FaceTime calls, lots of dreaming and scheming, and months of hard work by Kami’s parents, The Lovely at Mulberry Creek Square became a real wedding venue prepared to host the first big day—the day the Smiths would become one.

I was so honored Kami + Riley invited me to coordinate their special day as they celebrated their marriage with everyone who they loved. It was such a special day, sweet, thoughtful, and meaningful. The Lovely at Mulberry Creek Square is now a fully operational wedding venue, and I would highly recommend this beautiful space to anyone looking for a venue in the Big Country area.
