Finally my turn!

When I got engaged to my love on October 6th of 2023, I was so excited to finally get the chance to plan my own wedding.

To be perfectly honest, engagement was a difficult time for us. I had taken on more weddings than ever before and was finding little time and space to plan my own day. My fiancé was move to Arizona from Texas for 8 months during this time for work so we did long distance. I also was inundated with ideas and dreams for my day, loving so many things, not sure which direction to choose for our big day. I really desired a private property wedding on my parent’s ranch, but the logistics seemed like they would cause stress to my parents- something I ultimately decided against.

When we sat down and discussed it, we decided that an outdoor fall wedding would be true to who we were as a couple. It felt like “us”. We wanted to celebrate in an area where most of our guests lived and Windemere Farms felt like the perfect space, slightly south of the Austin area with a beautiful tent for our reception.

I was able to create some fun details such as personalized monogrammed napkins for each guest, my custom overskirt from Elizabeth Leese bridal, custom matchboxes, and so many other fun things. I was nervous that I would be concerned with all of the details on the wedding day, but a smile of joy and an air of peace never left me the entire day. It truly was such a joyful + celebratory day! Because of our wedding, I feel a deeper empathy for my brides in the planning process, and a deeper desire to create a peaceful, stress free wedding for them. I am so thankful for my love, my family, and my team for supporting me on my day, and I greatly look forward to supporting the C+V brides when it is finally their turn!
